Hunting Ghost Nets in Hawaii w/ CMDR

Have you heard about our partnership with Center for Marine Debris Research?

Sharing our vision of a trash-free ocean, the Center for Marine Debris Research exists to combat plastic pollution and other threats to the unique environment and biota of the Hawaiian islands, including ghost fishing nets.

Drifting into the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and then dragging trash to Hawai’i’s otherwise pristine beaches, ghost fishing nets are one of the major threats to Hawaiian coral reefs and marine life. Our donation to the Center for Marine Debris Research will be used to reduce the ecological damage of plastic fishing gear on Hawai’i’s reefs.
